WIN FREE LOOT: Outlaw Rewards “The Con Is On” Contest – September 2013

Geek Outlaw MAIN Swag

A geek can only suck in his gut so long for a picture…

Con-Swag.  The lifeblood of nerds and geeks the world over (including the imaginary worlds they create.)

How do I know this you ponder?  I can safely claim this as truth as my own baby browns have laid witness to the path of destruction a nerd-herd has left in its wake upon hearing that a free piece of geek memorabilia was being handed out to the first 2000 patrons in line.

The actual monetary value has no barring on the intensity of the hunt either.  The guy who empties the trash cans for the Walking Dead booth could be handing out used toilet paper from last week’s chili cook-off, but it wouldn’t stop a World War Z horde of zombie like con-goers from climbing over each other to make sure they got a piece of the two-ply collectible.

Ant Wall

30 seconds after Marvel announced they would be handing out previously chewed pieces of gum from Joss Whedon’s maid.

I’m not saying I haven’t part of a melee or two during my lifetime, I’m just trying to point out it’s the nature of the proverbial beast.  Geeks and nerds are just collectors of all things by nature, it’s in our DNA.

It’s that mob like mentality I’m hoping to capture the magic of with this month’s Outlaw Rewards contest which features some cool items from my last few con appearances.

I like stuff!
(And no, I’m not giving away a $150 Metroplex, but a smaller Transformer… maybe…)

So what’s the catch?  Seeing as I’m giving away some fairly sweet loot with a comic-con origins, I’m asking my fellow Outlaws to try and “con” more people into joining the Outlaw community.  Basically, I just need you to Tweet, Chirp, Facebook, Facepalm, Instagram, Insta-everything, Linked-In-and-Out, YouTube or otherwise post something via a social media site on the net about yours truly, Geek Outlaw!

It goes without saying you will need to supply me proof of the posting via a screenshot or by tagging Geek Outlaw in your post.  How many people end up following isn’t what matters (hence the phrase “try and con”), however the most creative attempts will prove to be the winners.

I’ve got three packages to give away, and each contain the following:

GRAND PRIZE:

A 2013 SDCC Gozdilla Swag Bag large enough to hold the beast himself.

I clean up pretty well for a sticker, no?
