CHARITY: Geek Outlaw gets Slimed with Ecto Cooler in ALS Ice Bucket Challenge for Ghostbusters 30th Tribute

In response to Podthingy.com podcast host John Mulhall’s challenge I went under the bucket for a good cause over the weekend and allowed myself to get slimed by Wild Wild Podcast co-host Erika “Spunky Destructor” for the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.

“She slimed me!”

When I say slimed, I’m not joking around (which I tend to do more often than people care for). In honor of the Ghostbusters 30th anniversary, I decided to put together an icy green concoction that included—but was not limited to—several packets of lime Jello, a 2-liter bottle of Diet Mountain Dew (hey, I’m watching my girlish figure), and some sort of aloe drink that had some sort of odd slimy substance floating around within the bottle. You can check out Spunky Destructor mixing up my slime bath in the following video:

“We came, we saw, we mixed some stuff up!”

The initial shock of the dump was quite an eye opener, but surprisingly tasty. I have no doubt that, through the powers of osmosis, I absorbed my body weight in sugar after all was said and done.  However, knowing that it was all for a good cause made me forget that my genitals climbed up approximately 3 feet inside my body.

ALS Ice Bucket MAIN

“Try to imagine all life as you know it stopping instantaneously and every molecule in your body exploding at the speed of light.” Yeah, it’s kind of like that.

While I did challenge Wild Wild Podcast co-Host “Spunky Destructor,” along with a couple of loyal Outlaws and Podthingy listeners, I’m still throwing out the offer to any fellow Outlaws: if you post your video at Facebook.com/Podthingy & Facebook.com/GeekOutlaw, I will send you a limited edition Geek Outlaw bandana and some Podthingy swag!

Ice or no ice, better yet you can donate directly to ALS at the following link: http://www.alsa.org/fight-als/ice-bucket-challenge.html
